Gayle, Kohli and De Villiers have given me important tips, says Sarfaraz Khan

RCB BATSMAN SARFARAZ KHAN said he received valuable tips from stalwarts Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers during the pre-season warm up games.

As reported by PTI, Sarfaraz said,

"In the selection matches for RCB, I was given chance to bat up the order and did well. The coach and senior players like (Chris) Gayle, Virat Kohli, A B de Villiers have given me tips on how to play each ball on merit and how to rotate the strike if a senior player is playing with me at the other end."

Sarfaraz says he is gaining a lot of inputs from seniors like Shane Watson and India A coach Rahul Dravid.

"I have learned a lot from last year to this year. In between there was the under 19 (World Cup tournament) and I was able to learn from Rahul sir (Dravid). I am getting more experience and am able to learn more as Shane Watson too has come into our team."

"In the first year I committed some mistakes in IPL. I want to avoid making the same mistakes I made last year. They (seniors) have given confidence. They said this is our first match, you continue to play as you did, but also play as far as possible according to the team situation."

Sarfaraz played a crucial 10-ball 35-run knock against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the team's season opener, which propelled RCB to score in excess of 220.

The 18-year-old will once again feature for the RCB tonight as they take on the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium,
