Murray/Soares dump Bopanna/Mergea in quarters of Monte-Carlo Masters
THE INDO-ROMANIAN PAIR OF Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea went down to the formidable Britain-Brazilian duo of Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares 2-6, 3-6 in the quarter-finals of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters today.
Murray/Soares broke their opponents four times in the match and also made sure that they didn’t face a single one of those.
Bopanna/Mergea struggled on their serve throughout the match and could end up winning only 41 points as compared to their opponents’58.
In the end, the number six seeds were dumped in exactly an hour’s time.
