UFC Zagreb Results: Junior Dos Santos Reigns Supreme

The much-hyped match main event between Ben Rothwell and Junior Dos Santos ended in favor of the latter as he won by Unanimous decision after a grueling five round fight.

The first two rounds of the fight saw Rothwell on the front foot as he was trying to land the big punch without losing his momentum. Dos Santos, however, managed to stay alive thanks to his impressive footwork and was displaying some great amount of speed. Towards the end of the second round, Dos Santos landed punch and a kick which turned the game around.

Rothwell seemed hesitant to come out in the third round and this allowed Dos Santos to take advantage and land some mighty blows. Although the pace slowed down in the fourth, Dos Santos still had the upper hand over Rothwell. Dos Santos was happy to see off the fifth round and when the decision arrived, Dos Santos was victorious. With the win, Dos Santos has stamped his name as a future contender for the Heavyweight title.

Elsewhere, Derrick Lewis defeated Gabriel Gonzaga in the first round via a knockout. British fighters Ian Entwistle and Robert Whiteford, both lost their respective fights, much to the dismay of the crowd that was firmly behind them. Below are the complete results from UFC Zagreb.
