Absence of Sanjoy Sen won't be a big factor, says Lajong coac Singto before Bagan game

SHILLONG LAJONG COACH Thangboi Singto said that the Mohun Bagan match was going to be crucial for them; and one with a lot on stake since their opponents were fighting for the I-League title.

Speaking to reporters before tomorrow's fixture, Singto said,

"I regard Mohun Bagan as one of the best teams in the league. The quality of Indian players they have is very good. And they're always fit thanks to Mr Garcia. For us, we have 4 matches left. Every match is crucial. Because if you see the standings, it's very very close. So we just have to take one match at a time, and tomorrow's going to be a very tough match. They're fighting for the championship so there's a lot at stake. I hope to see a good crowd, because the crowd gives us impetus and motivation to do well."

Singto said he did not consider the absence of Sanjoy Sen in the Mohun Bagan bench to be much of an advantage to his team in the match tomorrow,

"I don't think the absence of the coach will be too much of a factor. Because the players are well trained and they know what to do during the match. Many of them are international players, former and present. So they definitely have the capacity to do it."

In terms of injuries in his own team, the Lajong coach said that he was not in a position to take a call on either Fabio or Aiborlang Khongjee at the moment,

"We're still waiting for the medical reports to take a final call on his availability; hopefully we can do that by tomorrow morning. Aibor is still out... he's going to have an MRI, and we'll see what happens after that."
