TFG Fantasy Pundit: Boult & Southee might continue warming the bench as PAK take on NZ

Overview

New Zealand and Pakistan will battle it out tomorrow in Mohali and there is no clear indication as to how the wicket will play.

That said, the Mohali wicket has provided some assistance for the seamers and later on, the spinners too have come into play.

Both teams look fairly settled with their line-up and it is unlikely that we will see Southee or Boult.

On the other hand, Pakistan batsman Mohammad Hafeez and bowler Wahab Riaz are nursing injuries and their fitness levels will be assessed minutes before the toss.

Our probable 11 that could take to the field

NZ- Kane Williamson, Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Grant Elliot, Ross Taylor, Corey Anderson, Mitchell Santner, Luke Ronchi, Mitch McCleneghan, Adam Milne/Trent Boult, Ish Sodhi

PAK- Sharjeel Khan, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez/Khalid Latif, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz/Imad Wasim, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Sami

Players who cannot be ignored for this round

Mitchell Santner- He has enjoyed bamboozling batsmen with his tweakers in this WT20 and is likely to continue.

Corey Anderson- He can open the bowling and can also be effective at the death. And, when his willow strikes, there are plenty of fantasy points at stake.

Mohammad Amir- His swing and pace could open up a few cracks in the Kiwi line-up.

Dark Horses

Martin Guptill- He will continue his aggressive approach at the top. A few breezy overs and this opener can literally take the game away.

Shahid Afridi- Skipper Boom-Boom will be under pressure and could very well respond with a bang.

UPDATED TFG PUNDIT XI: Kane Williamson, Martin Guptill (vc), Colin Munro, Corey Anderson (c), Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Sami

Happy Hunting!!!
