Jose Aldo

Jose Aldo: The former pound for pound king was quick to jump on Twitter to call out a fallen McGregor, for a potential rematch at UFC 200.

Under a different set of circumstances, this would have been the match to make, considering the long reign Aldo had atop the 145 lbs division, before his loss to McGregor last December. However, in the year-long build to their showdown at UFC 194, we saw the former champ pull out once and get knocked out in 13 seconds when they finally fought. While it is possible that Aldo may have been caught with a punch, his unwillingness to accept a short-notice fight against McGregor, after Dos Anjos pulled out of UFC 196, took a lot of steam off Aldo’s claim to a shot at the title.

This was after calling out Conor non-stop and dismissing his win as a ‘fluke’!
