Sindhu enters quarters, Srikanth and Kashyap exit German GPG

WOMEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLER PV SINDHU sealed a place in the quarter-finals of the German Open Grand Prix Gold. It was yet another easy win for the 20-year-old who defeated Michelle Li of Canada in straight games 21-9, 21-17.

Fourth seed Wang Shixian from China awaits the Indian shuttler in the quarters. The head-to-head count between the two is levelled at 4-4.

It was a bad day for the men's singles shuttlers and the men's doubles pair. Singles shuttler and sixth seed Kidambi Srikanth went down against 12th seed Ng Ka Long Angus of Hong Kong 21-18, 18-21, 18-21.

On the other hand 11th seed Parupalli Kashyap retired hurt during the second game allowing his opponent Son Wan Ho of Korea to move ahead. The scores read as 12-21, 11-16 in favour of the Korean.

Manu Atrri/Buss Sumeeth Reddy gave away a comfortable victory to their Taipei opponents Lee Sheng Mu/ Tsai Chia Hsin. It was an effortless win for the Taipei duo as they won in straight games 21-10, 21-10.
