Myneni makes light work of Li to move into the semis of ATP Delhi challengers

WORLD NO.166 Saketh Myneni has progressed to the semis of the ATP Delhi challengers after beating Zhe Li of China 6-4, 6-1 in the quarter-finals today.

The No.4 seed won 83% of his first service and 53% of his second service points against the Chinese. Myneni also broke his opponent on four occasions but dropped his own serve only once in the match.

After winning the first set with a decisive break, the 27 year old kept his nose in front to close out the match in just under an hour.

Meanwhile, Prajnesh Gunneswaran lost his quarter-final clash against no.2 seed Kimmer Coppejans 6-3, 6-2. The wild card entrant struggled on his serve and also couldn’t make too much inroads in his return games.

On the other hand, the Belgian converted 3 out of 5 break points and eventually sealed the match in an hour and five minutes. In the semis tomorrow, Kimmer Coppejans will play Saketh Myneni.
