Sony Norde aims for milestone ACL victory, vows to give 100% against Tampine Rovers

MOHUN BAGAN star winger Sony Norde said today that the players are ready to give 100% against Tampine Rovers in the AFC Champions League qualifier match.

Speaking to reporters, Sony acknowledged that it was going to be a tricky task for the Bagan players to take on the S-League runner-ups,

"It's not about how many foreigners a team has. It's about how we're going to do on the pitch. If we play good football I think we're going to win for sure. But I can't say we'll play better. We have to prove ourselves on the pitch."

Norde said he was aware of the significance of this game. No Indian club has ever registered a victory in Asia's highest club football tournament before, and said that they would go to extreme lengths to be the team that reaches that historic landmark,

"This tournament is very important for us. And this game is very important for the club... if we win tomorrow, it will be an something of an achievement for Mohun Bagan. As players we have to take this game very seriously, and we'll give 100%. Whatever happens, it'll be a part of the game... but yes, we'll give everything."
