Santina win 25th match in a row, cruise into Brisbane International finals
THE WORLD’S BEST women’s doubles pairing of Sania Mirza/Martina Hingis are continuing their dominance in the WTA circuit and have reached the finals of the Brisbane International down under. This was the pairs 25th consecutive win in the women's doubles circuit.
The top seeds have been cruising through the early rounds and today defeated the team of Andreja Kelpac/Alla Kudryavtseva 6-3, 7-5 in the semis.
Santina might not have served well but the duo stuck to their task of returning serves well and were successful in converting 43% of the break points. In the end, Santina won a total of 69 points in comparison to their opponents’ 55 and got the job done in an hour and 17 minutes.
Mirza/Hingis await the winners of the match between Andrea Petkovic/Angelique Kerber and Arantxa Parra/Anabel Garrigues.
