WATCH: Zak's farewell speech with Sachin, and both India and SA teams

THE BOARD OF CONTROL FOR CRICKET IN INDIA (BCCI) on Sunday gave a fitting farewell to former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan after the end of the fifth ODI between India and South Africa at the Wankhede stadium, Mumbai.

The speedster who appeared to look dapper in his formal avatar, was first spotted in the stands as he watched the South African batsmen put up a fine batting show.

At the presentation ceremony that commenced af the end of the match, Zak was handed a commemorative plaque by former Indian teammate Sachin Tendulkar, alongside BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur and Mumbai Cricket Association President Sharad Pawar and a host of other MCA officials.

Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, the 37-year old said he was 'humbled' and 'honoured' to see an overwhelming response from his fans and all the other people.

"Happy that my final speech is happening at Wankhede again," Zak added.

Hailed as one of India's greatest fast bowlers, Zaheer called time on his international career on October 15, drawing curtains on a career spanning more than a decade.
