SP SETHURAMAN has regained his form, re-capturing the National chess title after nearly a decade.
The Grandmaster who was the third seed coming into the competition and won the title for the first time since 2014.
Sethuraman finished with 9.5 points from 11 rounds which gave him the champion's title, a trophy, and cash prize of Rs 6 lakhs.
The runner up position went to VP Prasanna, whom Sethuraman credited for keeping up his morale during the recent run of bad form.
Sethuraman has picked up 17 rating points from this tournament which will boost his FIDE ranking.
