'The Ultimate Test' - anticipation builds over India vs Australia clash for ICC Test Championship

TEAM INDIA IS gearing up for 'the Ultimate Test', and the anticipation is building day by day.

On 7th June, India and Australia will begin competing for the ICC World Test Championship title at the grand finale in The Oval, London.

Star Sports and Disney+ Hotstar, who will broadcast the match live for the Indian fans, dropped a promo that underlined the massive stakes and uphill challenge that Virat Kohli's men will face.

The teams are fighting to win the ICC Test Mace; which has been awarded to the best test team in the world since 2003. In the past, Australia have won it 8 times and India have taken it home 5 times. But since 2019, the prestigious mace is given to the winner of the ICC World Test Championship; and New Zealand became the first team to win this new global competition by beating India in the finale back in 2021.

This is the second edition of the tournament, and the two best test teams in the world are fighting hard to make history by achieving this new summit in the cricketing world for the very first time.
