A LONG RANGER from Ritu Rani, placed into the net by Priyanka was enough to secure Mumbai Knights FC a win on their Indian Women's League debut day.
In a Group A encounter today, the Knights took on fellow debutant Kahaani FC and the match proved to be a highly contested battle of wills.
Both sides created chances and defended hard to get a positive result and appeared to be quite evenly matched for most of the game. But the decisive moment came 24 minutes in when Priyanka broke the deadlock.
The rest of the cagey encounter remained goalless and MKFC were able to hold onto their lead and walk away with the full three points.
