Dream 11 Fantasy Cricket tips for India vs New Zealand, 2nd T20 (29th January)

The 2nd  match of the MasterCard T20 Trophy will be played between India and New Zealand at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana cricket stadium Lucknow, in India. The match will start at 7:00 PM IST.

First  let’s talk about the first T20 match played between Indian and New Zealand at Ranchi. Indian Captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and, choose to bowl. The Indian bowlers had most of the New Zealand batting innings under control if not for the last over  where Arshdeep Singh conceded 25 runs and because of that last over by Arshdeep Singh, New Zealand were propelled to a score of 176, giving India a target of 177 to chase. India lost their first three wickets for not so many runs within the first 6 overs of the power play.

There was only one partnership of note between Hardik Pandy and, Suryakumar Yadav, but when Suryakumar Yadav got out for 47 runs and Hardik Pandya got out for 21, it became a uphill task  for the Indian batsman. Although the pitch was turning too much for a T20 wicket but the shot selection from the Indian batsman, and also the lack of application from the Indian batsman was blatantly evident. For the first time in the series the Indian team looked off colour and their the collapse of the top order emphasized the fact that you need some experience out there in the middle. For example players like Virat Kohli are still relevant in the T20 game for providing stability at the top of the order.

Now let’s talk about the 2nd T20I. if the Indian team wants to keep their relevance intact in the T20 series, then they will have to win this match to equal the series. if they win then both the teams will have an opportunity in the third game to win the series. If the Indian team doesn’t  manage to win the second T20 that will mean that they will handover the series to New Zealand.  thus this becomes an extremely crucial match for India, If they want to nurse any chance of winning this series. This match can be a game changer for both the sides.

TFG  Fantasy Stars for India VS New Zealand:

India:

Shubman Gill is a delightful cover driver of the ball and plays the cover drive with eloquent ease. His pull shots are fantastically placed between square leg and mid-wicket. Playing a tremendously outstanding reverse sweep through the leg side is as impressive. He has the game in all formats, he just needs a breakthrough innings in T20 to start him off, never to stop. Gill has played 04 T20 international  matches, scored 65 runs with the bat, with an average of 16.25 and a strike rate of 130.00 in his T20 international career so far.

Ishan Kishan can bank the ball over the top of mid-off and can also cut the ball intensely hard through the offside. His performance in the first T20 was not satisfactory but he has the immense potential to turn it around. He just needs to give himself few balls to sus out the condition of the pitch and play accordingly. Ishan played 25 T20 international matches, scored 633 runs with the bat, with an average of 26.37 and, a Strike rate of 127.36  in his T20 international career so far.

Suryakumar Yadav is the personification of the new age modern batsman. Fearless, uninhabited, classy and fierce. His confidence radiates from his precise technique and controlled aggression, which has also landed him the title of Mr. 360. Yadav is an apt candidate to carry the legacy of the South African cricketer AB de Villiers kind of cricket to a next level. He played 46 T20 international matches, scored 1625 runs with the bat, with an average of 46.42 and, a Strike rate of 178.76  in his T20 international career so far.

New Zealand:

Devon Conway. can play a perfectly executed pickup flick over the leg side. With that he is also an excellent player of the Off-drive through mid-on. He plays a signature slog sweep over mid-wicket and uses his feet very nimbly. against the spinners to go over long off and long on. If he gets it right, he can take the game away from you within the blink of an eye.  He has played 35 T20 international matches, scored 1170 runs with the bat, an average of 48.75 , with a Strike rate of 130.58, in his T20.  international career so far.

Glenn Phillips is a power Packer. He can hit the bones out of a cricket ball. He plays the front foot punch mighty well in front of the wicket through the offside, muscling the ball hard in front of the squire leg with the conventional sweep and toking it ruthlessly hard over the covers. He could prove to be a massive nightmare for the bowlers.  He has played 56 T20 International matches, scored 1361 runs with the bat, with an average of 33.19 and a Strike rate of 148.25  in his T20 International career so far.

Finn Allen can play the straight drive nonchalantly straight down the ground. He is excellent with the cut shot through backward point. The highly talented batsman just needs to work on one thing- consistency and a slight improvement in his game against spin. He has played 26 T20 International matches, scored 602 runs with the bat, an average of 23.15 and a Strike rate of 162.70 in his T20  international career so far. Finn Allen.
