ISL HIGHLIGHTS: Late Rahul Bheke strike helps Mumbai City take 3 points from Chennaiyin FC

LEAGUE LEADERS MUMBAI CITY maintained their advantage over the rest, beating Chennaiyin FC 1-0 thanks to a late Rahul Bheke header.

In a match that stood in stark contrast to the recent goalfests in the ISL, Mumbai City saw their offensive capabilities tested by the team with the best defensive record in the league so far and they were stretched to their limits to break the deadlock.

The victory has put Mumbai City 4 points ahead of second placed Jamshedpur FC. With 15 points from 6 games, the defending champions are well on their way to become the first club to win the top division league of India back to back since Dempo SC (2006-07 & 2007-08).

Chennaiyin FC have now lost their status as the only undefeated team in the league. But their defensive display remains on point and they are still among the stronger contenders. With the transfer window drawing near, beefing up their offense may put them well on track for a top four finish. As of now, they remain on the 5th place with 8 points.
