HIGHLIGHTS -- Bengaluru FC vs FC Goa -- Friendly match at GMC Stadium

AHEAD OF THEIR matches in Asian competitions, FC Goa and Bengaluru FC played a friendly match at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim, Goa.

The match served as a testing ground for both teams ahead of BFC's AFC Cup Qualifier match and FC Goa's AFC Champions League group stage campaign, both of which kick off on 14th April.

The match allowed for unlimited substitutions and ended 1-0 in favour of Bengaluru FC.

If BFC beat Tribhuwan Army Club on 14th April, they will progress to the play-off round on 21st April, where they will face the winner of the preliminary round match between Abahani Limited Dhaka (Bangladesh) and Club Eagles (Maldives). The winner of that match will join Mohun Bagan, Bashundhara Kings and Maziya SRC in the group stage, which will be played from 14th and 20th May in Male, Maldives.

The Blues' match against Tribhuwan Army FC will kick off at 7:30 pm on 14th April, at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim.

For FC Goa, they are making their historic debut in the AFC Champions League on 14th April. The other three clubs in their group are Persepolis FC (Iran), Al-Rayyan SC (Qatar) and Al-Wahda FC (UAE). Their matches in the ACL 2021 group stage are as follows:

14th April - vs Al-Rayyan (10:30 pm)

17th April - vs Al-Wahda (8 pm)

20th April - vs Persepolis (10:30 pm)

23rd April - vs Persepolis (10:30 pm)

26th April - vs Al-Rayyan (10:30 pm)

29th April - vs Al-Wahda (10:30 pm)

All of FC Goa's matches will be held in Fatorda Stadium at Margao. Star Sports 3 and Hotstar will broadcast the matches live.
