Indian national team - Igor Stimac announces his picks for 35 probables for March friendlies

INDIAN NATIONAL TEAM head coach Igor Stimac has picked 35 top players from the country as national team probables ahead of their long anticipated comeback on the pitch.

The Blue Tigers were last seen in action on 19th November 2019, when they faced Oman in a World Cup qualifier match. Their subsequent scheduled matches had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now after more than a year away, India will once again face Oman in an international friendly on 25th March 2021, followed by another friendly against United Arab Emirates. Both matches will be played in Dubai.

This will be followed by the Blue Tigers' last three matches in the World Cup Qualifiers second round - against Qatar, Bangladesh and Afghanistan - in June.

The full camp that has been picked is as follows:

GOALKEEPERS: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh, Subhashish Roy Chowdhury, Dheeraj Singh, Vishal Kaith.

DEFENDERS: Seriton Fernandes, Ashutosh Mehta, Akash Mishra, Pritam Kotal, Sandesh Jhingan, Chinglensana Singh, Sarthak Golui, Adil Khan, Mandar Rao Dessai, Prabir Das, Mashoor Shereef.

MIDFIELDERS: Udanta Singh, Rowllin Borges, Lalengmawia, Jeakson Singh, Raynier Fernandes, Anirudh Thapa, Bipin Singh, Yasir Mohammad, Suresh Singh, Liston Colaco, Halicharan Narzary, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Ashique Kuruniyan, Rahul KP, Hitesh Sharma, Farukh Choudhary.

FORWARDS: Manvir Singh, Sunil Chhetri, Ishan Pandita.

Among the notable fresh inclusions are Liston Colaco, Bipin Singh and Ishan Pandita, who have all impressed with their performances during the ISL 2020-21 season.
