Al Rayyan SC are no stranger to the ACL grind. They've been here 5 times before, although the last time they made it to the big stage was a while ago in 2013.
The club is tied as the second most successful club in Qatar in terms of top division league titles. They've been the Champions of Qatar 8 times. In 2019-20, they finished second in the Qatar Stars League, which came with an ACL group stage slot.
At present, they are in the middle of an exciting 2020-21 campaign. After 15 games they are at 25 points with 7 wins and 4 draws. They're 4th in the league table, just 3 points behind second placed Al Duhail. They have also qualified for the quarter finals of the Emir Cup.
