UNDER RAHANE'S LEADERSHIP the Indian cricket team is ready to take on Australia in the third test down under.
As of now, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy hangs in the balance. While home team Australia claimed victory in the first test, India mae a fierce comeback in the second test to level the series 1-1. Now, if the Men in Blue manage to win the third test in the series, it will mean they have successfully defended the prestigious title as it will be impossible for Australia to win the four match test series.
With Virat Kohli absent, Rahane will continue with the skipper's mantle and he will have the trusted presence of Rohit Sharma back in the squad. The third test will also see the youngster Navdeep Saini earn his first test cap for the Indian national team.
The full first eleven for India is as follows: Ajinkya Rahane (Captain), Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (Wicket Keeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini.
The match will begin tomorrow, 7th January, at 5 am Indian Standard Time, and given the first two tests promises to be another memorable thriller.
