ISL -- East Bengal launch their kits for the 2020-21 season

EAST BENGAL HAVE RELEASED their kits for the 2020-21 season, where both the home and away jerseys pay homage to the century-old club's heritage.

The home kit, where the primary colours are the club's traditional red-and-gold, features a pattern of fire; a reference to the club's iconic emblem of a burning torch.

The away kit, which has white and blue as the primary colours, features a set of fish scales towards the bottom of the shirt. This pays a homage to hilsa, the fish that has become an iconic cultural symbol for the club.

The third kit, which is black, features golden patterns of a Royal Bengal Tiger's skin, aiming to bring light to the cause of conservation of these majestic animals.

East Bengal, who have won the national top division league 3 times, are celebrating their 100th year; a fitting occasion for joining the Indian Super League.

The club, which boasts one of the biggest fan followings in the country, will make their ISL debut on 27th November, playing their arch rivals Mohun Bagan, continuing the famous rivalry known as the Kolkata Derby.
