East Bengal release re-branded team logo as players, staff reach Goa

FINALLY, AFTER THE necessary paperwork from the AFC regarding East Bengal's registration and ISL participation arrived at the club, the Red and Golds have released their new logo.

As a result of their new investment deal with Shree Cement, the sports teams of East Bengal will use the brand name 'SC East Bengal.' The new logo, published this morning, uses the familiar emblem of a burning torch with the words 'SC East Bengal' on the borders, along with six stars. It uses the traditional EB colours of red and yellow/gold.

While East Bengal's sports teams will use this new brand name, the club itself will still function separately as a member-run institution and its name as well as logo will remain unchanged.

Meanwhile the East Bengal players have started to reach Goa to begin their mandatory quarantine period before taking to the field for their pre-season ahead of ISL 2020-21.

East Bengal are going to be the last to start their pre-season, but they have made some high quality recruitments both in the domestic and overseas contingent, including Jeje Lalpekhlua, Dany Fox, Anthony Pilkington, Aaron Amadi Holloway and more. Led by Liverpool Legend Robbie Fowler, they are attempting to revive the national dominance that they have been missing for well over a decade.
