BHAWANIPORE FC WON their second match on the trot in the I-League Qualifiers 2020, beating Garhwal FC by a 1-2 margin.
With this, Garhwal FC's campaign has turned out to be a disappointment with three back to back losses. Bhawanipore, meanwhile, continue to be one of the major contenders with 6 points from 2 matches.

The start of the game saw Bhawanipore take the lead pretty early on with Philip Adjah finding the net just 8 minutes in. Pankaj Moula doubled the lead not long after the second half kicked off.
Towards the end of the match, Afdal Varikkodan scored for Garhwal FC and the Delhi-based club tried their best to get an equalizer till the end. But in the end, Bhawanipore proved to be the winners with relative ease.
On 16th October, Garhwal will face off with ARA FC who incidentally are the only other team still on 0 points. Meanwhile, Bhawanipore will return to action on the same day facing Mohammedan Sporting; an explosive encounter between two top sides in the competition that may well go on to decide who goes on to qualify for the I-League 2020-21.
