ISL 2020 -- Addition of Enes Sipovic soups up Chennaiyin FC's defence

30 YEAR OLD centre-back Enes Sipovic has joined Chennaiyin FC ahead of ISL 2020-21.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina U-21 international is the third foreign player to be officially announced by the franchise this season, and the overseas second defender after Brazilian Eli Sabia.

Sipovic made his name in the Romanian top flight league where he played for Otelul, Petrolul Ploiesti and Farul Constana, beore joining Belgian top flight club Westerlo.

In 2018 he joined Saudi Arabian club Ohod, beofre returning to his own country for the first time in his professional career to play for Zeljeznicar. Last season he was at Qatar's Umm Salal.

Adding the 6 foot 6 inches tall to the roster consolidates Chennaiyin's defence considerably. Sipovi?, known to be an intimidating presence in the backline for any club he has played at, is the second major transfer announcement made by CFC, the first being the signing of Reagan Singh and Lalchhuanmawia.
