England will take on Australia in the first ODI of the three match series today in Manchester.
After beating the tourists in the T20 series, the hosts will be keen to maintain their No. 1 status in the 50 over format.
Weather: We saw how games in the summer were impacted due to rain at this venue. For this game, the weather will remain overcast with little chance of rain. We expect a full game.
Pitch: Should be a fantastic wicket as we witnessed in the T20s against Pakistan and with small boundaries, expect plenty of big blows from both teams.
Warner & Finch- Both openers looked in decent touch in the t20s despite a long break. With flat wickets in Manchester, these two could dominate at the top.
Cummins- Has arguably been the best pacer for the men in yellow in the last few years. Expect him to feature in the wickets column.
Rashid- He is turning into a genuine wicket taking option for the hosts. The Aussies aren't comfortable reading him
Butler- Regardless of where he bats, in current form, he remains a top pick.
Injury scare: Both Morgan and Roy have been dealing with injuries. While the skipper had issue with his finger, he should bat no. 4
Roy too is back after a decent gap with side Strain. The opener will take field today and open the batting.
