AIFC launches stimulus for Indian football coaches affected by COVID-19

Association of Indian Football Coaches launches a campaign – Covid-19 Coach Stimulus Program — #AIFCforCoaches, an initiative supported by SportingLions Foundation and GiveIndia Foundation.

The campaign was launched with a video message by AIFC Director Dinesh Nair.

He further added,

"AIFC is formed for the welfare of our coaches, not just to conduct CPD’s, workshops, conferences or webinars but lend our help and support during times like these. We take this as an opportunity & responsibility. Requesting all of you to come forward and support our coaches."

Throughout the pandemic, AIFC kept the coaches motivated and mentally engaged through various webinars and webtalks. But the webinars will only help to an extent, what about their daily basic needs? Therefore, through this initiative we would like to support our coaches who are in real need.

We intend to support and provide three-month basic supplies to 1000 coaches across the country. We have also appointed state and zonal coordinators who will identify these coaches.

Derrick Pereira also AIFC Director and FC Goa Technical Director said,

“The AIFC and the coaching community has always been about growing together and supporting one another. And it is during such times when we need the support of each other the most. That’s exactly what this initiative is all about. Let’s all come forward and help our dear coaches.”
