ISL 2019-20 HIGHLIGHTS - Kerala Blasters hold Jamshedpur FC with fiery late comeback

KERALA BLASTERS DIDN'T get the elusive victory they've been looking for, but charted a crazy late comeback to hold Jamshedpur FC to a 2-2 draw in their 8th round encounter in the Indian Super League.

After gaining a lead in the first half thanks to Piti's penalty conversion, Jamshedpur FC doubled their lead about 70 minutes in when former KBFC star CK Vineeth found the net, assisted by Farukh Chaudhury, another former KBFC player. It looked like the 4th placed JFC had done enough to get to the top of the table with the full 3 points from Kochi.

But this was when the tide turned. Just a few minutes later Samad set up Raphael Bouli for the first goal, and just minutes before full time, Kerala Blasters got a penalty and Bouli converted, to the thunderous applause of the home crowd.

The draw has given the KBFC contingent some hope that they can be competitive with some of the best teams in ISL despite a poor start to the season. Currently they sit on 7 points from 8 matches, 7th on the table. They will hope to continue their late form when they take on Chennaiyin FC away in the next game.

Jamshedpur, who are ruing their late defensive mistakes that didn't allow them to go top of the table, have nevertheless risen to the 3rd spot with 13 points from 8 matches. They are going to face Mumbai City FC at home next.
