FULL MATCH -- Chennai City FC go down 5-2 to Malaysia Super League club Terengganu FC

CHENNAI CITY FC'S INTERNATIONAL DEBUT turned out to be a rather forgettable affair, with them losing 3-5 to Terengganu FC.

The I-League champions, having assembled their full strength squad for the first time this season, looked shaky at the back, which allowed their Malaysian opponents to repeatedly catch them off guard with pacy counters.

Bruno Junichi got no less than four goals for himself, and although CCFC managed to get through with their own attacks and score three goals through Katsumi Yusa, Mashoor and a Pedro Manzi penalty conversion, they seemed unable to remain competitive especially in the second half.

This loss has put Chennai City in a difficult position in the fight to reach semi-finals. They now have to beat Bangladesh Premier League champions Basundhara Kings and Durand Cup winners Gokulam Kerala FC in their remaining group stage matches to have any chance of progressing.
