2022 FIFA WC qualifiers - India to camp at Goa; Stimac names 35 players

INDIA begin to prepare for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Oman and Qatar. The camp is being held in Goa from August 19th and training begins the following day.

India host Oman on September 5th in Guwahati. Oman are currently ranked 87 in the latest FIFA rankings release and recently won the inaugural four-nation Air Marine Cup held in Malaysia in the month of May.

On September 10, India will be travelling to take on Doha in the next match. The other two teams in India’s group comprise of Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Below is the list of players called up for the camp

GOALKEEPERS: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh, Kamaljit Singh, Vishal Kaith.
 
DEFENDERS: Rahul Bheke, Nishu Kumar, Pritam Kotal, Anas Edathodika, Sandesh Jhingan, Anwar Ali (Jr.), Narender Gahlot, Sarthak Golui, Adil Khan, Salam Ranjan Singh, Subhasish Bose, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Mandar Rao Dessai.
