DEFENDING CFL CHAMPIONS Mohun Bagan began their campaign facing last season's runners-up Peerless FC and it didn't go well.
Playing their second match under new head coach Kibu Vicuna, the Mariners looked haphazard in their defence, allowing Peerless to create multiple chances and convert 3 of them, while Bagan themselves fell short of successful conversion every time.
Former Mohun Bagan and Aizawl FC striker Ansumana Kromah scored a brace, while Laxmikant bagged another goal of his own, delivering to Peerless a significant win early in the season.
