INDIA GOT OFF TO A winning start in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, beating South Africa by 6 wickets.
Batting first, the Proteas were well contained by the Indian bowlers. They managed to put together a total of 227/9. Yuzvendra Chahal impressed with a spell of 10-0-51-4 as the Men in Blue set the stage for a solid beginning.
India completed the chase in 47.3 overs, with six wickets to spare. Leading from the front was Rohit Sharma, who scored 122* off 144, remaining on the crease till the end to make sure the victory comes without a hitch.
