FOR THE SECOND DAY IN A ROW, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 saw a quick finish of a match. This time, it was New Zealand who ran through Sri Lanka.
Batting first, Sri Lanka folded quickly, with only 136 in the board, with Lockie Ferguson and Matthew James Henry both picking up three wickets each. In reply, New Zealand faced nary a resistence. They chased it down in just 16.1 overs, without losing a wicket. Openers Martin Guptill (73* off 51) and Colin Munro (58* off 47) both ensured the Black Caps have full points on the board, a healthy net run rate, and an early sleep to boot.
