THE BLUE TIGRESSES CONTINUED their superb run of form in the Olympic Women's Qualifiers today.

Facing hosts Indonesia in the first match of their second round campaign, the Indian Women's Football Team put on a measured display of dominance to claim a handsome 2-0 victory.

The Indian Women started well and maintained their grip on the game throughout the 90 minutes, outplaying Indonesia in every department. Rarely did the hosts get a chance to make an offensive move, and even when they did it hardly created any danger in the Indian box.

On the other end, a number of chances came India's way but it was Dangmei Grace who found the net twice to make the difference between the two teams.

India will face Nepal in the second match of the group stage on Saturday. A win will be necessary there too, because only the group topper gets to progress to the third round of the Olympic Qualifiers.

The biggest test for the Indians will come on 9th of April when they go up against Myanmar. In a recent match at the Hero Gold Cup in Odisha, Myanmar beat India by a 2-0 margin. To keep their Olympic dream alive, the Blue Tigresses will have to claim revenge against Myanmar next week.
