The Bhaichung Bhutia Football School is hosting open football trials for the BBFS Residential Academy across 30 cities in India. The trials are conducted to scout talented football players from across the country (between 11-15 years of age) and provide scholarships to the most deserving candidates. Currently, the BBFS Residential Academy houses 53 students, of which 16 are scholars.
The details of the trials being conducted in January are as follows:
Sky Kings, Bowenpally
KJ Somaiya College
Gurukul Sports, Whitefield
Sports Stadium, Sector-46
Guru Nanak Stadium
Lyallpur Khalsa College
La Martiniere College
Guru Nanak Dev University
Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School
Sprint Recreation, Shilaj
The purpose of the trials is to scout for the best footballing talent across India who would then get a chance to join the second batch of students at our Residential Academy. A team of coaches from BBFS will conduct the trails for interested students aged between 10 and 15 years (who are currently studying in classes 5 to 9 and are seeking admission to classes 6 to 10).
Through this residential setup, BBFS, in partnership with Vedas International School, intends to create an environment which would help academy students achieve their dreams of becoming professional footballers while receiving quality education and not compromising on academics.
