I-League 2018-19 HIGHLIGHTS: Mohun Bagan get hard fought 0-1 away win over Real Kashmir

MOHUN BAGAN CONTINUED THEIR unbeaten run in the I-League 2018-19 by getting a 0-1 win over newly promoted Real Kashmir FC.

The Mariners travelled to Srinagar to brave cold weather, high altitude and a spirited Real Kashmir FC side who started the game on an attacking note, using long balls and physical gameplay to keep the Bagan defence under pressure.

However, after a goalless first half, Mohun Bagan finally got their long awaited break-through as they focused more on short passes and grounde ball to negate their opponents' game plan, culminating in Dipanda Dicka scoring from Henry Kisekka's cross in the 70th minute.

Although RKFC kept trying till the last minute, the Bagan defence, especially young defender Dalraj Singh, gave a good account of themselves and kept the clean sheet.

This win puts Mohun Bagan in the 2nd place at the league table with 8 points from 4 matches, behind Chennai City FC who are on 13 points from 5 matches. With these two clubs set to lock horns on 1st December, the title race in the top division league is starting to form a tight picture.
