THE INDIAN NATIONAL WOMENS' TEAM played out a 1-1 draw with Nepal in their first game in their Olympic 2020 Qualifiers campaign.
Nepal took an early lead through Niru Thapa's goal. India responded well, with the defence consolidating and Kamala Devi's equalizer coming not long after.
Although India kept their shape for the rest of the game and created multiple chances, a second goal did not materialise, and the game ended in a draw. This result comes as a disappointment, since India were within an arm's reach of starting off their Olympics quest on a winning note.
