Asian Games 2018 -- India beat Pakistan to clinch bronze, applauds pour in from all corners
ALTHOUGH THE MEN'S HOCKEY TEAM could not reach the Asian Games final, they did add to India's medal tally by beating Pakistan in the bronze medal playoff match 2-1.
This victory takes India's medal tally at the event up to 69 at the time of writing.
India took a lead early on with Akashdeep Singh scoring in the third minute. Harmanpreet Singh broke through with a second goal for India 50 minutes in, and although moments later Muhammad Atiq got one back for Pakistan it wasn't enough. India held on to win the day.
