CK Vineeth leads by example, volunteers in Kerala flood relief

INDIAN NATIONAL TEAM and Kerala Blasters star attacker CK Vineeth has time and again been in the news for leading a down-to-earth positive lifestyle.

The Kannur-born 30 year old has been spotted engaging in remarkably positive deeds like working in his father's farm during off season and listing his son's religion as "NIL" on the birth certificate.

But currently, as his home state Kerala battles a terrible disaster in the form of a massive flood that has badly affected 13 of the state's 14 districts, Vineeth has refused to sit by the sidelines. Over the last week, several fans spotted the footballer volunteering in relief camps helping with the supply and transport of food and other essential materials.

Pictures of him working as a porter were widely circulated in social media. Along with Kerala Blasters opening a relief collection centre to help the people of the state who are still dealing with the flood that has claimed thousands of lives till now, this sets a glowing example of a son of Kerala who is a celebrity recognized all over the country leading by example on how to combat this disaster together as a people.

Kerala Blasters were supposed to start training for the new season in Kochi earlier this week but the floods have made it impossible for them to get started till now; they are expected to move base to another state and begin their pre-season operations soon.
