Kerala Blasters open relief collection centre to help get aid to Kerala flood victims

WITH DEVASTATING FLOODS affecting all disctricts of Kerala, Kerala Blasters FC are joining the efforts to help in the massive rescue and relief efforts underway.

The ISL franchise has opened up a 'Relief Material Collection Centre' in the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor where it plays its home games. KBFC and national team star defender Sandesh Jhingan shared details of where people can donate help - financial or otherwise - to the KBFC's relief effort earlier today on Twitter.

Kerala's struggle with flooding has massively affected thousands of people, with rainfall that exceeded normal standards by 257 PC over the last week has submerged entire villages and displaced entire communities. Several sportspersons including national team capatain Sunil Chhetri have come forward appealing for help from fans and the general populace as central and state governments have undertaken a statewide effort to reach and rescue the flood victims.

There's no doubt that Kerala Blasters, with their popularity and high reach on social media, will be able to contribute significantly to the relief operations.
