Brave Combat Federation: Luan Santiago wants Ottman Azaitar after Brave CF 11
Luan "Miau" Santiago is set to clash against Lucas "Mineiro" Martins at the eleventh edition of Brave Combat Federation on 13th April. The bout marks the first time two Brazilian fighters are contesting for the championship title.
The event was compared to the epic Anderson Silva vs Vitor Belfort face off by media in Brazil. While Luan Santiago is a former 2016 Brazilian Fighter of the Year and was featured among the prospects to look out for during 2018 by Fighter's Only Magazine, he had a dominating run in the promotion with two dominating first-round knockouts.
In his latest interaction from his camp, Santiago has revealed future plans he has in mind after capturing the interim Lightweight championship. The Lightweight fighter has set his goals to become the undisputed champion of the division by challenging Ottman Azaitar after capturing the interim title. "There is no 'If' for me. It is not there in my dictionary. That championship belt is already mine. It is just a matter of time", replied Santiago.
Ottman Azaitar was crowned the Lightweight champion of Brave Combat Federation at the ninth edition of the event, Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions when he defeated Alejandro Martinez from Mexico. The champion had not defended his championship yet which had prompted the promotion to announce an interim championship title.
"I will be the kingpin of the division and that of the promotion. Once I claim the interim championship, I will fight Ottman Azaitar to become the undisputed champion of the Lightweight division of Brave Combat Federation.", claimed Luan Santiago. The bout will be held at the Mineirao Stadium Terrace in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on April 13. The fight card is star studded with some of the biggest names in the promotion including the 9 times IBJFF World champion Bruno Malfacine making his first fight for the promotion and major stars including Gesias Cavalcante, Ahmed Amir, Klidson Farias, Marcel Adur, Georges Bardawil, Max Lima competing in the same night.
