#TFGinterview: Happy with the current form & want to continue the same till the end, says FCPC coach Popovic

FC PUNE CITY have had a great season this year and are on the verge of getting into their first ever playoffs. A team led by a good coach and experienced players with the mix of foreign and Indian talent have helped them achieve this feat along with the luck factor.

They next play FC Goa at home which will be the final home match in the league stage for the Stallions. They will hope to get a positive result as their coach Ranko Popovic hopes the same.

We caught up with him at the sidelines of The Football Movement conference held in Mumbai. He was all smiles and happy with his team's performance but at the same time not complacent.

"It is surely a great moment but it isn't over yet, we still have to get the job done. And until we haven't done what we are expected of, I don't want to talk much about it. But it is definitely a happy feeling, we are enjoying the moment and our football. But to continue that feeling we need to win too and that is what we'll try to do."

Pune have two matches remaining to play against Goa (25th Feb) and Delhi Dynamos (2nd March). Goa still have hopes to make it to top four and will try their best while Delhi have nothing to lose. Talking about these two fixtures, coach said,

"Look we are expecting tough matches in both but both are in a different situations in terms of qualifying to the top four. Goa need the points like us and Delhi are the side that will play relaxed now because they have nothing to lose or to win only respect. So not expecting an easy outing but look, we are going to give our best in both the matches. And our next match that is against Goa, our main focus will be on that now and we will try and make our supporters happy with a positive result by making it to top four for the first time and that is our target."

When asked about the Super Cup, he replied,

"Look, let us enjoy the championship first and after that we talk about the Super Cup. Well it is great, we'll play some more games but at present for us the most important task at hand is ISL and we hope to do our best and later think about the Cup."

Finally, when asked him how happy he is with his squad, with a smile, he said,

"Well I am very happy the team, I don't know how happy they are with me. I just push them to do the best they can, I always try and get the maximum out of my players and this is good for everyone especially for the team and the current moment is running good and we hope to continue the momentum."
