India Open 2018: Sindhu goes down fighting in the finals, settles for Silver

PV SINDHU goes down fighting in the finals of India Open 2018 as the top seed failed to defend the title, losing to Beiwen Zhang in a tough hard fought three game battle 18-21, 21-11, 20-22.

A great start for the Indian but the first game belonged to American shuttler who was on song in this tournament. While the second game looked easy and comfortable for Sindhu, claiming it 21-11. This left the fans go crazy as they were behind their favourite shuttler throughout the match.

The final game had it all, craze, intense, close battles, both shuttlers fighting out a neck-to-neck battle to get their hands on the title. Till the end, it could have been anyone's game but when the scores read 20-19, the crowd once again were cheering louder but then Beiwen levelled the scores and took the following two points to win the game and the match.

A first big title for the American meanwhile, Sindhu gets her hand on yet another Silver.
