QUESTIONABLE CALLS: Players who were given the cold shoulder by their former franchises

WE ALL KNOW the IPL action is always full of surprises. However, the recently concluded one in Bangalore clearly suggested how the franchises are keen on building their team for the future. 

We saw many of them punting, or bidding aggressively for the next gen, and rightly so. From Shubham Gill, Ishan Kishan to Shivam Mavi, the under-19 cricketers made headlines. 

While the teams showed great interest in retaining their core team, a few franchises also showed intent in completely overhauling their line-up. But perhaps, the big shock came when some marquee names saw no takers. 

While we have already documented our views on that, we have identified a few names who got picked up at the auction but were snubbed by their former franchises.
