Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth conferred with Padma Shri
MEN'S SINGLES SHUTTLER Kidambi Srikanth conferred with the country's fourth highest civilian award. 2017 was an amazing year for the Guntur-born shuttler who had four Super Series titles to his name and also reached his career best ranking of World No. 2.
In the past he has also won the Arjuna Award for his excellence in the sport.
Meanwhile, cricketer MS Dhoni was conferred with the third highest civilian award- Padma Bhushan for his excellent feat as the captain of the national team and helping the team lift two World Cups and an ICC Champions Trophy among many other triumphs.
