IPL 2018 AUCTION: 5 potential leaders for the 11th season

THE IPL Players' auction will get underway on January 27 at Bangalore and it is expected to be a mega event, perhaps the biggest after the inaugural season in 2008. Some big guns have already been retained by the franchises, and some will also be absorbed through the RTM option. 

That said like we have seen in the years gone by, teams also end up spending a colossal amount of money on players, who are skilled leaders. After the retention of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, David Warner and Steve Smith, we know how their respective franchises don't have to worry about who will lead them. 

However, there are three more teams and they too need their skippers. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what strategy they adopt in absorbing those individuals.
