London clubs to close the gap? Manchester City to dominate again? - Premier League Preview

MATCHDAY 6 is upon us and some really tricky fixtures coming up this week. Will Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal & Liverpool close the gap to the two Manchester clubs? Will Everton put an end to their horrendous start with a win? Can Newcastle and Huddersfield maintain their strong start to the premier league? Here's a look at what we're in store for this weekend.

West Ham vs Spurs - West Ham have steadied the ship after a rocky start to their premier league campaign and their midweek win should give them more confidence. Spurs are a very good team and we've been saying that for a while but they still haven't settled in at Wembley and need to make it a home as soon as possible. It should be a good game with chances for both sides. I'm sure West Ham will give a good account of themselves but they're still short at the back according to me. I think we'll see a repeat of the Everton performance from Spurs but they will need an early goal to settle their nerves. Expect Kane to get atleast a goal against West Ham
Prediction: West Ham 1 - 3 Spurs
FPL pick: Kane, Son

Burney vs Huddersfield - This is one of the more difficult games to call, two teams with the same number of points with both enjoying a fine start to the season. I think this is a real test for Huddersfield, we know what we're going to get out of Sean Dyche and his men at Turf Moor. Burnley's success last season was their ability to win at home, If Huddersfield are to come away with anything from Turf Moor they will need to find goals. It might not be one of the more entertaining games this weekend but expect Burnley to get the 3 points and continue their strong start to the season.
Prediction: Burnley 2 - 0 Huddersfield
FPL Pick: Ward, Brady

Everton vs Bournemouth - This is the 2nd of the 4 home games for Everton and it's a must win for Ronald Koeman. They did well in midweek and have a few winnable games coming up which they would want to make the most of to get anywhere near the top 6. Bournemouth were excellent against Brighton after going a goal down and the cherries are one of the better teams to watch in the premier league. I can't see past an Everton win in this one, it should be a comfortable win for the toffees. Expect Sigurdsson to run the game.
Prediction: Everton 2 - 0 Bournemouth
FPL Pick: Sigurdsson, Keane

Man City vs Crystal Palace - City are flying high after a dominating start to the season and have played some excellent football. On current form Pep Guardiola's men look like the team to beat this season. Palace are yet to score a goal in the premier league but their result midweek should give them some confidence. Roy Hodgson will set his team to not concede and try to make the most out of set pieces. Man City look irresistible in attack and should have enough to break down a stubborn Palace backline. I'm going for a City win with De Bruyne again pulling the strings.
Prediction: Man City 3 - 1 Crystal Palace
FPL Pick: De Bruyne, Jesus

Southampton vs Man Utd - Southampton sit pretty at 9th with 8 points from 5 games and I think it'll be more or less the same position for the them come the end of the season. The problem with the Saints is lack of goals, they don't score enough, exactly the opposite of their weekend opponents. United are enjoying a blistering start to the campaign with having already scored 4 goals in 3 of their 5 games so far. This however will be a test for Mourinho and his men, Southampton are well organised defensively and can be tough to break down at home. I expect a pattern similar to the Stoke game with United to playing most of the football in the Saints half. I'm going for a United win, I think there's just too much power in this United side and are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment.
Prediction: Southampton 0 - 3 Man United
FPL Pick: Lukaku, De Gea, Jones

Stoke vs Chelsea - Stoke have to be the most unpredictable team in the premier league, you just don't know which Stoke will turn up. After excellent results against Arsenal and Man Utd they had a shocker against Newcastle. Chelsea were lucky to get a point against Arsenal last weekend, they ran out of ideas while trying to break down a well organised Arsenal team but Hazard is back and I expect him to start. Stoke are tough to beat at home and can knock a goal or two on the counter so this is a real test for Conte and his men, I think it'll be very very tight but Chelsea to nick it.

Prediction: Stoke 1 - 2 Chelsea
FPL Pick: Hazard, Fabregas

Swansea vs Watford - Swansea got a great result last time out against Spurs and that would've definitely helped their confidence. The mood at the Watford camp will be low after footballing lesson from City last weekend for Marco Silva and his men. Swansea still need a lot of work, Watford on the other hand look a far more balanced bunch. Chances should few and far between and I think both teams will cancel each other out eventually. I'm going for a draw in this one
Prediction: Swansea 1 - 1 Watford
FPL Pick: Bony, Richarlison

Leicester vs Liverpool - Leicester were lucky to come away with a point from Huddersfield. Liverpool meanwhile for all the chances they created against Burnley couldn't get the winning goal. It will help Leicester mentally that they beat Liverpool midweek in the Carabao Cup but this will be a different Liverpool side that turns up. Leicester have beaten Liverpool on their last 2 visits to the King Power and with Liverpool's defence there's always a chance for someone like Jamie Vardy to stretch their backline. I'm taking a bit of a gamble on this one, I think Leicester will win what should be a high scoring contest.
Prediction: Leicester 3 - 2 Liverpool
FPL Pick: Albrighton, Vardy, Salah

Brighton vs Newcastle - Brighton will be kicking themselves for not getting anything out of their game last weekend inspite of taking the lead. Newcastle on the other hand are flying high at the moment with 3 wins on the bounce. These are the kind of games Brighton need to get points from if they are to stay in the premier league but with Newcastle looking decent going forward and Matt Ritchie pulling the strings I think it'll be a difficult day in the office for Chris Hughton and his men. A draw wouldn't be the worst result for either side but I think Newcastle have just about enough going forward so I'm going to go with a Newcastle win.
Prediction: Brighton 0 - 1 Newcastle
FPL Pick: Ritchie, Joselu

Arsenal Vs West Brom - Arsenal should have won against Chelsea, they were easily the better side on the day and should've been rewarded with the win had Lacazette had been ruthless. Tony Pulis would've been satisfied with his team's performance against the Hammers, they were solid defensively and got a deserved draw away from home. We know what we'll get out of West Brom this weekend, they will be compact, physical and a threat from set pieces. Sanchez should start for Arsenal and I'm very curious to see how he links up with Lacazette. It'll be a tough game but i think Arsenal will build on that performance at Chelsea and get all 3 points this weekend.
Prediction: Arsenal 1 - 0 West Brom
FPL Pick: Ramsey, Kolasinac
