Man Utd Top of the Table? Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs to win? - Premier League Preview

INTERNATIONAL BREAK is just around the corner (yes again!) But we still have a small matter of Matchday 7 before we enter 2 weeks of absolute boredom. Some very difficult games to call this weekend along with a mouth-watering clash at the top of the table this weekend as leaders City travel to 3rd placed Chelsea, here's this weekend's Premier League Preview:

Huddersfield Vs Spurs - Huddersfield got a massive draw at Turf Moor last week to maintain a strong start to their season. Spurs have been perfect away from home, and they blew West Ham out of the way last week in the first 60 minutes and if not for Aurier's red card they would have had a comfortable afternoon. Wagner's team will have their work cut out against an in form Spurs side and will have to produce a defensive masterclass to get anything out of the game. But with Harry Kane in super hot form I think it will be another win for Spurs away from home.
Prediction: Huddersfield 0 - 3 Spurs
FPL Pick: Kane, Alli, Lloris

Bournemouth vs Leicester - Both teams would be very disappointed after last week in spite of Bournemouth leading Everton and Vardy's missed penalty against Liverpool haunting Leicester. Both Howe and Shakespeare are under pressure after a difficult start to their respective campaigns and already this is a big game for both sides. Bournemouth have missed Calum Wilson in attack this season which shows by their lack of goals. Leicester have been a bit unlucky and should have got more points to show for than what they have at the moment. It'll be very tough game but I think Leicester have enough firepower to come away from the Vitality stadium with 3 points.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1 - 2 Leicester
FPL Pick: Mahrez

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace - Man Utd put in a battling performance at Southampton to take home 3 points last week. Crystal Palace have been absolute shambles and were torn apart by a ruthless City side last week. There are injury concerns in both camps with Fellaini, Jones and Carrick a doubt for this week while Palace could be without Benteke for at least a few weeks if reports are to be believed. But with City and Chelsea playing each other this week Mourinho will want to take advantage of that, Palace on the other hand are yet to score a goal in the premier league this season and have to be early relegation candidates. I don't see palace getting anything out of this game, It should be a routine United win to go of the table going into the international break.
Prediction: Man Utd 3 - 0 Crystal Palace
FPL Pick: Lukaku, Mkhitaryan

Stoke vs Southampton - Stoke were dismal against Chelsea at home last week, I really thought they would give a good account of themselves. Southampton fought hard without creating too many chances against Man Utd last week. Southampton are strong defensively while Stoke in attack are as unpredictable as the weather in Britain. This is a very tough one to predict. I can see both teams cancelling each other out with hardly any chances created. I'm going for a draw in this one but I won't be surprised if Stoke win by the odd goal.
Prediction: Stoke 0 - 0 Southampton
FPL Pick: Cedric, Choupo-Moting

West Brom vs Watford - Tony Pulis will be very disappointed with the way the baggies have started their season. Having said that they should have had a penalty with the score at 0-0 against Arsenal. Watford are flying high and Marco Silva is already over achieving this season after an excellent win against Swansea last time out. West Brom showed enough in an attacking sense against Arsenal and we know the threat they pose from set pieces. This is a big test for Watford if they are to  break into the top 10 this season, Watford are fluent in attack and I like the way Richarlison carries himself about on the field. It'll be difficult match for both teams but I can't see past a West Brom win in this one, expect a typical Tony Pulis performance.
Prediction: West Brom 1 - 0 Watford
FPL Pick: Hegazi, Phillips

West Ham vs Swansea - Both teams were very poor last week, West Ham weren't even in the game until the last 15 minutes and had left themselves too much to do by then. Swansea were lucky to get the equaliser against Watford but some woeful defending towards the end of game gifted Watford the 3 points. West Ham are a good team though and they have showed flashes of what they are capable of already this season. Swansea on the other hand just look like they lack creativity and steel in midfield, which is why they've struggled in front of goals. Bilic will know that his team needs to win and make the most of their upcoming fixtures in the premier league if they want to fight for Europe. Swansea look like they'll be flirting with relegation again come the end of the campaign unless Clement can find a solution to their attacking woes. I'm going for a comfortable West Ham win in this one.
Prediction: West Ham 2 - 0 Swansea
FPL Pick: Arnautovic, Chicharito

Chelsea vs Manchester City - Chelsea were at their brilliant best against Stoke last week and followed that up with a massive win against Atletico in the Champions League. Man city have been flawless this season (bar the Everton result) and have played some extraordinary football up until now. Chelsea are tough to beat and with Hazard back and Morata in supreme form they will be feeling confident coming into the game. City have showed they can play teams out of the park this season but this is the first real test for Guardiola and with Aguero and Mendy a doubt we'll have to see how city cope without them. Conte will set his team up like he did against Spurs by closing the gap between his defense and midfield to stop City from playing their free-flowing football and Chelsea will try to hit them on the counter attack. This City defence has not really been tested this season so far so it will be interesting to see how they cope with the pace and movement of Hazard, Morata and co.

City should dominate possession but I'm curious to see how much did that Atletico win take out of Chelsea and their fitness and concentration levels will be tested. I think both teams will be happy with a draw but I'm leaning slightly towards Chelsea to somehow knick this.
Prediction: Chelsea 2 - 1 Man City
FPL Pick: Hazard, Azpilicueta

Arsenal vs Brighton - Arsenal were lucky not have been given the penalty against them with the score at 0-0 last week and took complete advantage of that to win the game easily. Brighton got a big result at home to Newcastle taking them to 13th with 7 points. Arsenal have started to show form with Sanchez and Lacazette linking up well with each other last week and with Arsene Wenger resting his side by playing youngsters in the Europa League I expect a routine win for Arsenal unless of course they make it difficult for themselves as they are susceptible of doing. Watch out for Sanchez to get his first premier league goal this season.
Prediction: Arsenal 3 - 0 Brighton
FPL Pick: Sanchez, Kolasinac

Everton vs Burnley - Everton simply had to win last week and they did, it was a massive win for Ronald Koeman and coming back from a goal down is always sweet. Sean Dyche will be disappointed with Burnley not winning last week at home against Huddersfield and will consider it as 2 points dropped. After a tough start to the season Everton will be looking at getting maximum points out of their next few games if they want to challenge the top 6. We know what we will get from Burnley, they will be difficult to break down and try to play on the counter. Everton will have to patient but I expect them to get all 3 points and make it 2 wins out of 2 in the premier league.
Prediction: Everton 2 - 0 Burnley
FPL Pick: Williams, Sigurdsson

Newcastle United vs Liverpool - Newcastle were shambles against Brighton last week, they didn't create any chances and barely had a shot on goal in the second half. Liverpool on the other hand did manage to get all 3 points but were very lucky after a missed Vardy penalty. Newcastle have had a good start to the season and have been well organised defensively, Liverpool on the other hand have a great attack but its their failure to convert their chances and a poor defence that his stopping them from winning games. We've seen this over the years in the premier league, attack will win you games but defence wins you titles and at the moment you don't see Liverpool grinding out results like the way Man Utd did last week but that discussion is for later. For this week though, I think Liverpool should fine and should be comfortable win for them.
Prediction: Newcastle 1 - 3 Liverpool
FPL Pick: Salah, Firmino
