Premier League Predictions - Mourinho Vs Klopp! Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Man City to win?

ANOTHER ROUND of International break ends with Game Week 8 of the Premier League on the horizon and what a way to kick-start the action this week with the fiercest rivalry in English football as Liverpool host the high flying Manchester United at Anfield. Also, Chelsea travel to goalless Palace, Man City welcome Stoke and both North London clubs face tricky fixtures.

I will be having two guest's every week to also give their views and predictions.

I would like to welcome our this weeks guests Baljit Rihal and Sunil Thakur who have graciously agreed to give their Predictions for this week.

Here's a look at this weeks Predictions:

Liverpool vs Man Utd - This is the biggest game in English football and it never disappoints. Liverpool had a September to forget after winning just 1 game, taking just 5 points out of a possible 12 available and are already 7 points behind the two Manchester clubs. Liverpool's problems this season have been well documented, as brilliant as they are in attack, their defence has been absolute shambles and they look like conceding a goal against almost every opposition. Man Utd on the other hand have only conceded 2 goals in 7 matches so far this season  and are already boasting 6 clean sheets. In spite of all the free flowing goals they have been scoring they are capable of shutting up shop and grinding out a result like we saw them do at Southampton. Liverpool will be without Sadio Mane while Man Utd will be without Pogba, Fellaini with doubts over Jones and Lukaku's fitness. Liverpool need a win more than Man Utd and I'm looking forward to this Man Utd defence being tested out against this Liverpool attack, I expect Klopp's side to have most of the possession with Man Utd setup to to hit them on the counter attack.

Man Utd have scored a lot of goals in the last 10 minutes of the games this season and we could see that happening if Liverpool are chasing the game towards the end. This is a very tough one to predict but just going by Liverpool's defence I'm going to go with Man Utd for the win.

My Prediction: Liverpool 1 - 2 Man Utd
Baljit Predicts: Liverpool 1 - 1 Man Utd
Sunil Predicts: Liverpool 0 - 2 Man Utd
FPL Pick: Lukaku, Martial

Burnley Vs West Ham - What a start to the season Burnley are enjoying as they sit pretty in 6th place having already accumulated 12 points so far. They were brilliant against Everton at Goodison Park and came away with deserved 3 points last time out and for me this could prove to be a big difference for them at the end of the Season. West Ham got a hard fought win against Swansea last time out but still sit on the wrong end of the table for me especially with the quality they possess. We know what to expect from Burnley at home, they will be strong defensively and very hard to break down, Bilic on the other hand needs to win a few games to bring any sort of momentum to push for Europe which I'm sure would be the target for West Ham.

I really want to see Chicharito & Carroll start together in a 4-4-2 for West Ham, I think that front two could really cause problems to the Burnley defence. I'm expecting a very physical contest but I think West Ham have bit too much fire power for Sean Dyche's men.

My Predtiction: Burnley 1 - 2 West Ham
Baljit Predicts: Burnley 1 - 0 West Ham
Sunil Predicts: Burnley 1 - 0 West Ham
FPL Pick: Carroll, Ayew

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea - Crystal Palace this season have been breaking all the wrong records in the Premier league and are yet to score a goal this season. After back to back mauling's by the two Manchester clubs there is still no relief in sight as they take on reigning champions Chelsea. Conte and his team will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing result against Man City where they showed no ambition going forward. With their top scorer Morata out with a Hamstring problem and Kante having pulled up during the International break Chelsea will look towards Eden Hazard for inspiration to try and keep up with the Manchester clubs. Crystal Palace have injury problems of their own with Benteke out although Zaha is back training but I suspect his still a couple of weeks off in terms of fitness.

Palace did show some resilience against Man Utd in the second half so this could be tricky for Chelsea especially without a Morata up front. Even though I'm going for a Chelsea win, it'll be anything but comfortable the blues and I think Palace will get their first goal of the season.

My Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Chelsea
Baljit Predicts: Crystal Palace 0 - 3 Chelsea
Sunil Predicts: Crystal Palace 2 - 0 Chelsea
FPL Pick: Hazard, Alonso

Man City vs Stoke - City were irresistible against Chelsea a couple of weeks back, they were just better in every department and Guardiola got his tactics absolutely spot on. Peter Crouch stole all 3 points for Stoke in a game where the heat was on Mark Hughes to deliver. Man City are flying high and look impossible to stop so far this season, they're very fluid in their build up play and even without Aguero they look capable of putting 3 or 4 past any team they come up against. Stoke have to be the most inconsistent team in the Premier League so far and in spite of having some great attacking talent in their squad they still can't manage to find goals upfront. I can't see past a City win in this one, they're too strong in attack and are playing with a lot of confidence and it should be another comfortable outing for Pep Guardiola and his men.

My Prediction: Man City 2 - 0 Stoke
Baljit Predicts: Man City 4 - 0 Stoke
Sunil Predicts: Man City 3 - 1 Stoke
FPL Pick: Sane, Silva

Swansea vs Huddersfield - Swansea were unlucky last time out, they gave a good account of themselves and have already shown this season that they're tough to beat away from home. Huddersfield were given a given an absolute pounding by Spurs in the first 25 minutes with Harry Kane sending them a belated 'Welcome to the Premier League' card in a 0-4 defeat at home. Swansea's problem this season has been their attack, they have just not created chances and the ones that have fell to them have not been capitalized on because poor finishing. After their excellent start to the campaign Huddersfield have found things hard come by in the last 2 games and with some tough fixtures on the horizon they'll be looking at making the most out of the game against Swansea who don't seem to be going anywhere at the moment. This is a really tough one to predict in a game that could go either way but I'm sitting on the fence with this one.

My Prediction: Swansea 1 - 1 Huddersfield
Baljit Predicts: Swansea 0 - 0 Huddersfield

Sunil Predicts: Swansea 0 - 0 Huddersfield
FPL Pick: Ince, Carroll

Spurs vs Bournemouth - Spurs demolished Huddersfield last time out taking 10 points of a possible 12 available in September to climb to 3rd in the premier league table. Bournemouth should have beaten Leicester a couple of weeks back and taken maximum points but having said that Premier League can be ruthless and no matter how well you play it is the result that counts and Eddie Howe is finding that out this season. Spurs are yet to win at home and Pochettino will be hoping Harry Kane can keep up with his September form where he scored 6 goals in the Premier League. Any result for Bournemouth could easily derail Spurs season and any hopes of putting up a challenge for the top 4 but with Harry Kane in the form of his life at the moment I can't see anything but a Spurs win this weekend to pile on more misery for Bournemouth.

My Prediction: Spurs 2 - 0 Bournemouth
Baljit Predicts: Spurs 3 - 0 Bournemouth
Sunil Predicts: Spurs 1 - 0 Bournemouth
FPL Pick: Kane, Davies

Watford vs Arsenal - A couple of weeks back I had written about the brilliant work Marco Silva is doing at Watford and his team followed it up by getting a battling draw against West Brom especially after being 2-0 down. Arsenal have been quietly climbing up the table putting together a string of decent results and have not conceded a goal in the premier league since Liverpool put 4 past them in August. Watford have bought well in Richarlison and look a real threat going forward, Wenger meanwhile will be very happy with the understanding Lacazette and Sanchez are starting develop and with Ozil back fit this will be a real test for this Watford side. I think it will be tricky for Arsenal in this one, but I expect them to come away with 3 points.
My Prediction: Watford 0 - 1 Arsenal
Baljit Predicts: Watford 1 - 3 Arsenal
Sunil Predicts: Watford 1 - 1 Arsenal

FPL Pick: Sanchez, Cech

Brighton vs Everton - Brighton were outplayed by Arsenal in their last game ending the night with just one shot on target. Everton dominated Burnley but just couldn't create a clear cut chance on a disappointing day for the toffees. The pressure is on Ronald Koeman after spending heavily in the summer and after a tough start to the season Everton have just not managed to build any momentum in spite of their win against Bournemouth. Even though we're only in Game week 8 this is a must win for Everton and Ronald Koeman and having watched them play a few times this season it's very easy to see their problem is lack of pace of up front. Brighton have been good at home and they will have to continue that form if they are to stay in the Premier League come the end of the season. I can't see Brighton scoring past this Everton defence and I think Everton will get their desired 3 points on a night that should be comfortable for Ronald Koeman's men.

My Prediction: Brighton 0 - 2 Everton
Baljit Predicts: Brighton 1 - 0 Everton
Sunil Predicts: Brighton 0 - 0 Everton
FPL Pick: Keane, Sigurdsson

Southampton vs Newcastle - Southampton were unlucky not to get anything from their last game after a brilliant acrobatic goal by Yoshida got them level against Stoke. Newcastle put in a proper shift defensively against Liverpool and Joselu's goal got them a hard earned point in a game where they had more shots on target than Liverpool. Southampton look solid in midfield but it's their attacking play that has been letting them down. Redmond & Tadic need to have a bigger impact in games than they are at the moment and Pellegrino should start with Gabbiadini up front. Benitez will want more of the same from his Newcastle side who look much more composed in midfield with Shelvey around and with Joselu getting his goal last week the Newcastle fans will be hoping he can start banging them in more consistently. Southampton are tough to beat at home and I don't see too many goals in a game with chances few and far between.

My Prediction: Southampton 1 - 1 Newcastle
Baljit Predicts: Southampton 0 - 2 Newcastle
Sunil Predicts: Southampton 1 - 2 Newcastle
FPL Pick: Redmond, Ritchie

Leicester vs West Brom - Leicester have started the season very poorly and were lucky to come away with a point last time out. Tony Pulis will be feeling the exact opposite after his side threw away a 2 goal lead at home against Watford to draw 2-2. Craig Shakespeare will be feeling the heat and his team needs to get a 3 points this week otherwise they risk facing an unexpected Relegation battle once again this year. West Brom will be disappointed after having dropped points from winning positions a couple of times this season. West Brom will defend deep to make it difficult for Vardy and co. to run in behind and try to nick a goal on the set piece. I'm going to go with a smash and grab win for West Brom in this one.
My Prediction: Leicester 0 - 1 West Brom
Baljit Predicts: Leicester 1 - 0 West Brom
Sunil Predicts: Leicester 2 - 1 West Brom
FPL Pick: Evans, Rodriguez
