ALL THE SPECULATIONS regarding India wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni’s availability for the East Zone Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 League have been put to rest as Jharkhand have appointed paceman Varun Aaron as captain.
With no T20I scheduled at the moment, there were rumours that the Ranchi-lad will lead the state in the domestic T20 league. However, it has been learnt that Dhoni has asked the state selection committee to not consider his name for the event. The league got underway as Mumbai locked horns with Baroda in a West Zone match on January 7.
Aaron, who played his last international ODI against Sri Lanka in 2014, will lead the line-up comprising the likes of Saurabh Tiwary, Ishank Jaggi, Virat Singh and Ishan Kishan.
