MATCH REPORT: Two braces the story of the draw between Jamshedpur and Mumbai City FC

THERE WAS ACTION straight away as the first minute of the game where Jamshedpur FC hosted Mumbai City FC had controversy. Goian brought down Jerry in the box with a sliding challenge but the referee deemed it as a legitimate challenge to waive away the Jamshedpur FC penalty claim.

Thiago Santos created a moment of magic when he waltzed his way near the Jamshedpur box in the 25th minute and scored a stunning right-footed goal. Jamshedpur tried their best to get level through Belfort, Trindade and Memo. Belfort was to be seen moving to both flanks. Jerry was very active on the right flank. For Mumbai Emana ran the show and Everton and Thiago provided movement in the middle.

Jerry had multiple runs cut off but that never discouraged to keep trying. The constant runs did pay off when Jerry found space behind the defence and played a low ball in the middle. The initial block saw Azuka react quickest and tap the ball from yards out. Within minutes after the equaliser the same Jerry-Azuka combination worked again for the home team to get the lead in the added minutes of the first half.

After the break, the home team moved with confidence and kept pressing attack after attack and Mumbai could only defend the ball in desperation. Mumbai survived the tide of attacks and regained hold on the game in the second half and advanced slowly through Everton and Thiago Santos. Thiago was registered his second goal via a great ball from Everton and an umarked Thaigo got the visitors level with minutes on the clock. It would finish 2-2 in the end.
